GPS Soil sampling and recommendations for rational fertilization

Special service offered by Agro FertiCrop is soil sampling and soil analysis using the latest technology (GPS navigation), as well as expert advice on fertilization. For soil sampling automatic sampler is used, which is placed on the vehicle that is equipped with GPS navigation. Sampling in this way is much faster and easier, and samples are taken more objectively and with better quality, which contributes to the analysis to be realistic and exact.
Sampling probe is mounted on a vehicle and the sampling is done by automatic sampler. Sampling depth can be adjusted from 0-90 cm, allowing soil sampling for all types of chemical analysis, in order to compensate the individual elements in the soil. Sampling depth of field crops and vegetable crops is 0-30 cm. For orchards and vineyards, as well as for the determination of mineral nitrogen and EUF analysis sampling is done at depths 0-30, 30-60, 60-90 cm. It is important to point out that when the automatic sampling is done, depth and sample volume stays constant and therefore does not depend on the person who sampled as in manual sampling.

GPS receiver is shooting the parcel during sampling and records its size, shape and coordinates. An individual sampling plan is being made for each parcel – number of samples to be made and route of a vehicle is set according to parcel’s size (guided by GPS). Samples are transported to an accredited laboratory (Laboratory of Soil Science and Agroecology – Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, Novi Sad).

Due to the high technology and professional experience, we can recommend fertilization plan to arable land, as well as orchards and vineyards, and make soil maps (of humus, phosphorus and potassium content, for each individual parcel) that enable rational fertilization and significant savings. Producers receive complete documentation of soil analysis and recommendation for fertilization. Sampling navigated by GPS is carried out on large surfaces. Hand-held probes for sampling are being used on smaller fields and greenhouses.
